What:
The ARS archery team is proud to host the the second Cap City Cup as a state qualifier event for Austin area schools. The event will be held at Ann Richards School and its participants will include several local elementary, middle, and high schools. The performance of all participating teams in the Cap City Cup will determine whether or not they will qualify to participate the NASP Texas State Championship in San Antonio, TX in March 2026.
We will offer both bullseye and 3D formats at the Cap City Cup. Archers are required to participate in bullseye, and 3D is optional. Shooting bullseye qualifies the archer for both competition types at State (bullseye and 3D). 3D in this tournament is optional, and this score is NOT used for qualification purposes.
When:
Saturday, February 7th (8am-6:30pm) - Sunday, February 8th (8am-3:30pm)
Where:
The "Big" Gym (bullseye) and the "Small" Gym (optional 3D)
Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders
Logistics and Parking:
We encourage all archers arrive 30 minutes before your flight begins so that you have time to make your way through the building, grab your scorecard, stow your bow case, and warm up. Please park in the student parking lot (south side of the building - enter from Prather Lane) and follow the arrows to enter the building. Please enter through the courtyard into the main hallway for both bullseye and 3D flights.
Bullseye: A check-in table will be on your left when you enter the building. Archers should pickup their bullseye scorecard from this table and store bow cases/belongings in the main hallway in the taped-off areas. Bullseye flights will be held in the big gym.
3D: Archers participating in 3D will go to the right when entering the building and walk down the main hallway. A separate 3D check-in table will be available. Archers will pick up their scorecard for 3D near the small gym and store bow cases and belongings in the main hallway.
Seating for bullseye: Archers will have chairs to sit in between rounds. We will have plenty of space in the bleachers for families, friends, and other fans.
Seating for 3D: Due to the limited size of the small gym, seating will be more limited. Archers will stand between flights (no chairs), and we will have a single row of chairs for family, friends, and fan clubs. There will be space behind the row of chairs to stand and observe the archers.
